Let's ask the awkward question here:

What would happen or be different on Saturday, August 16 2008 IF Biscardi and the GA boys were to actually present 'proof' of Sasquatch's existance on Friday August 15th at their press conference?

Does "bigfoot research" end, or just change it's focus?

I can only speak from a personal standpoint, but for me it wouldn't change a bit. I'll still be going out to my field location and I'll still be taking reports from witnesses. If it's finally discovered and accepted by science, that doesn't change the fact that I want to see one for myself and learn about the living breathing creature.

Not that I think it's the real deal in a million years, BUT, if anyone wound up with the real deal I think everyone else would kick it into overdrive. Everyone who's burned out or on the fence would jump right back in with more enthusiasm than ever before, and way more people who never had any interest suddenly would be hitting the woods hoping to see one for themselves.

It wouldn't change anything for me personally, or any of our group I don't think, since we all hit our field location as much as possible anyway.

IF they have a body, and it's accepted...the pros take over.

Furthermore, watch for a big scramble by the eco-freaks to basically lock up every strand of trees in the US and Canada as habitat for the new species.

I hope very much it's real, but I'm reserving judgement until more is revealed...it's not too late for the proverbial MIBs to show up and take whatever it is away after all.

I hate to say it, but IF it is real, I think everyone that has little to no formal scientific training can kiss their research goodbye. Yeah, it still might be fun to go out into the woods to try and track one down, the same as bird watcher enjoys going out and trying to find their favorite or the hard to find species, but any "real" research will be left to wildlife biologist. Funding will be in the form of grants from/to Universities. Sure, some of these "lab coat" type people will need "local guides" to help them find what they are looking for, but the locals opinions won't count for much.


I guess this all goes back to my "searcher vs researcher" question/thread. Modern science will ruin the fun for the BF community.

These guys are complete retards, just look at the Cops face when hes speaking on youtube...It tells you everything to the main question we all want to know, is there a bigfoot body? When hes speaking about the bigfoot in response after he was found out that the Dr. was actually his brother it basically ended there to me but when I look at his body language on the videos hes completely full of shiza.

Well, Friday August 15th was certainly NOT a day that will go down in the history books, unless you enjoy keeping track of how many times bigfooting has gotten a black eye.

Tomorrow, Saturday August 16th, 2008... Bigfooting will once again pick up the pieces of it's shattered dignity and keep looking for the proof.

I just don't see that happening. Despite what everyone calls no concentrated effort by either science or some other government org., over the last several decades there has been as much , if not more money thrown at it than the cost of several grants.

They are also still left with the same problem that has been facing most of us ( as a "community") for that time frame as well. And that is finding one ( or more) and being able to somewhat accurately predict their whereabouts and movements at a particular time.

If you're around this field long enough, you start to realize there are some people who are pretty much, if not more so , knowledgeable than anyone with a PHD behind their name on a great multitude of subject that are easily relatable to Bigfoot. Plus they have the knowledge of most of the speculation and probabilities concerning Bigfoot, without having to start from scratch.

Whether Tom B and those boys from Georgia have a body or not(I'm still skeptical), I would still continue to search. If by some bizarre chance they have the real deal, not as many people would be snickering behind the bf communitys back. JMO
