The BFRO expedition to Tennessee has come and gone.
After repeatedly blasting Mary Green as a hoaxer, a fraud, and anything else he could think of, Matt Moneymaker sent his expedition into none other than the research area pioneered by Mary Green, which he learned about via a former member of her group who was the expedition organizer - -

Wow!
She's such a FRAUD, I am going to charge folks $300 to follow in her footsteps - -

You know where that's gonna lead here Terry, and this looks suspiciously like provocation right off the bat. Tread lightly.

That said, we all know Moneymaker is utterly shameless and will do anything to make a buck from gullible people.

Just trying to get the word out on MM, Stacy -
And on the integrity of anyone who would vow to keep a location confidential and then lead a group of people into it. I think it is important that people know this before they take ANY of the BFRO into their confidence. I sure wish, many years ago, someone had warned ME about them!! It would have saved a lot of grief. But I read around these forums before posting this, and came to the conclusion that there are no BFRO fans here, so did not expect this to provoke anyone. If it has, I am truly sorry as that was not my intent.

Tim, it was a recreation. Paul's memory is not good enough to step in the EXACT same footprints -
But it is good enough to take the group to the exact locations shown to him in confidence.

I asked them about this on their forum -
The post went "poof", and so did my account there -
Imagine that!

In case any one here was provoked, I changed my avatar as an act of contrition. It was one of the Danish cartoons that caused all the furor, and I have now changed it to something less controversial - a shot of a couple of the Tom turkeys in our yard this spring.

Surely the sheer irony of this "expedition" gave SOMEONE a grin though????

Bold text is mine

My opinion of them was never that high, even when the BFRO was still popular amongst the research community. Some people held the same opinion. Others were staunch supporters & eventually found out the truth of the organization for themselves.

I have more that I could say, but I will not. These type of threads eventually turn into a flame war, I am a veteran and/or casualty of too many of those.

*Edited to fix typo*
