It looks like someone wrote a scathing article about these guys claims and they're actually stupid enough to put it up on their site. lol! I can't wait for the next installment. I emailed the author and she just laughed at Rick Dyers claim that it wasn't him that was interviewed. Dyer claimed that his eleven year old daughter was interviewed, not him. But the author told me all the emails she recieved had the exact same bad spelling - the same use of a period, comma, period - the same bad use of capitalization that matched all of Dyers Youtube posts and other posts. She said it was Dyer for sure. Funny too, she said that no eleven year old would spell that badly. lol!





Article ~ The Story of Bigfoot and Two Southern Men Part Two

Perusing the web it appears that Mr. Dyer and Mr. Whitton have managed to cause quite a stir. As you’ve learned from the past column I wrote on the Georgia hoax, the two men gained global attention for finding the dead body of a Bigfoot in June of 2008. When they were finally found out to not have a body, Mr. Dyer told a local news anchor that he was just trying to have “fun. You know, we got the war and everything. We were just playing.”, he said. And of course you know from what I’ve written already that they started the whole thing back up again, only this time, they say, it’s for real. This time the claim is different too. Smaller. Instead of 7’ 7” and almost 500 lbs., the real creature, they say, is 6’ 1”, sometimes female and sometimes male. You see, they cannot seem to keep the sex of their supposed body straight. One email says it’s a male, another email says it’s a female. One Youtube video says female, another says male. And that’s not even a mix-up between the old hoax and the latest, supposed real creature. Those mix ups on what sex it is are only about the latest claimed body.



They would have us believe that two medical doctors and about twenty people have examine the body and not one of them, seeing how incredibly human like it is, either insisted on calling the authorities or called them themselves.

When asked about how the authorities didn’t get involved, Dyer responded, “why should they , there is no law about bigfoot on the books”. He’s correct of course, but there are plenty of laws concerning large animals found dead.



“Ga. Code Ann. § 4-5-5. Methods of disposal of dead animals

Methods which can be used for disposal of dead animals are burning, incineration, burial, rendering, or any method using appropriate disposal technology which has been approved by the Commissioner of Agriculture. Disposal of dead animals by any of the approved methods must be completed within 24 hours after death or discovery. Dead animals that are buried must be buried at least three feet below the ground level, have not less than three feet of earth over the carcass, and must not contaminate ground water or surface water.”


That’s right readers. People can’t find dead dear, bears or bigfeet and just decide to keep them. There are even more laws about this, all aimed at staving off diseases for the protection of the general public.

They would have us believe that in none of the pictures is anyone, in the presence of an unknown dead primate wearing gloves or masks, risking viral or bacterial infection.

Most of us who live in the south have been brought up at least hearing the phrase “A man is only as good as his word”. At this point in time it appears that neither of these two men have heard this phrase or attempted to live by it.

In the past, when asked about discrepancies, Dyer has usually tried to brush them off as “Aw, we was just funnin’. We really DO have a body though.” But claiming he was joking about the wrong sex just doesn’t hold up to scrutiny. He wasn’t joking – it’s very clear that he can’t remember which lie he told last.

It used to be that they have been referred to as Rick Liar (Rick Dyer) and Ratt Shittin (Matt Whitton) on the internet. This of course was when they were at the height of their notoriety. Now however, they’re hardly referred to at all. With many unfortunate false steps, their popularity has fallen so much that even the Bigfoot boards aren’t talking much, if any, about them. Their credibility already near dead took repeated hits - such as when they went to Mexico and mulled over creating a Chupacabra hoax using a donkey bone. Or pretended to have plans to solve the Natalie Halloway case in Aruba. The following are just a few examples of what makes it even harder for anyone to believe anything they say.



They can’t spell above a third grade level, even with spellcheck.

They accused Loren Coleman of pedophilia, then retracted it and apologized.

Their hotline once offered to find Elvis Presley and Unicorns.

They accuse crypto zoologists of lying, stealing and only being in it for the money, when in reality they themselves have lied, sought to make money off of a hoax, and regularly steal text and put it on their site unaccredited.

Since there is limited space I will continue this in the next installment. But it is with a heavy heart that I write about these fellow southerners. There is enough bad press about us already, and Mr. Dyer and Mr. Whitton have not made our plight any easier. It used to be that a military man and a police officer were looked up to with respect. When asked how their discovery has changed their lives, Mr. Dyer replied, “We are seeing the world”, apparently in reference to the money they have made from their lies whith which they can now afford to travel. It seems that making money from lying is well within their code of ethics. One wonders what their parents think of them or if their grandparents would be proud. My hope and guess is no.
