Pardon my rant...

I just got home from work, turned on the TV to check up on the 'news'... and the first story already running is about the body of a 5 year old girl being found after her MOTHER sold her as a sex slave to "someone"... and apparently after he was done with her, he killed her and threw her body in a wooded area 100' off a road.

W.T.F. is wrong with this country? When is ANYONE going to say ENOUGH IS ENOUGH and start taking these less-than-humans out of society? Pardon my narrow-mindedness, but there is NOTHING too cruel to do to these maggots, or anyone who would or could do this to a child.

It's simply too unbelievable to even consider. Scum like this ought to be publicly executed.

I need to check and see where an email my son got came from. I know there's a way to do it, I did it once, but it's been several years and even then someone had to tell me how, and now I can't remember. Does anyone know how to find the sender's IP addy? Thanks!

To Kill or Not to Kill... that is the question.

I'm just interested in harvest. Casts, video, pictures, audio and such are fun to look at and listen to but prove nothing. If I ever can produce something science can poke with a stick then I would turn over everything. The casts, the pictures, everything.. Until that time I see no point. There is already enough speculation and doubt without adding more in my line of thinking. Most of the time when I find tracks I don't take the time to cast them. If I have a camera or my cell I will take a picture and move on... I find a lot of stuff that I THINK may be squatch related that I don't photo and I actually jot down nothing at all. I really don't consider myself a "researcher". Hunter would fit me better I think. The research part for me is more like scouting for lack of a better word...

An interesting development

I'm sure every knows who T. Biscardi is.
{I guess that's how one spells his name}

After the Georgia fiasco last year, I contacted his site and briefly conversed with Java Bob.
I made the offer of inviting the entire group to my location and pretty much promised a minimum of footage provided they had an adequate night vision cam along with sound.
I don't recall the exact wording used but in essence I was told Mr. Biscardi was a very busy man and really wasn't interested.
Since I had given my bonafides, I've been doing this for some 40 years and prefer to mind my own business normally, I felt I was brushed off.
They after all do travel rather extensivelly and would probably have had something their first night there as others have.
Recently I offered another challenge to him publicly,,, last month actually.
It was for sure brought to his attention,,, and was ignored.
The area I was offering to take him to has a history of reported sitings, secluded and he would expect to spend 72 hours there.
I insured the 72 hour stay as if he can charge $350.00 a day per head, so can I.
I stipulated if he and his could stick out the 72 hours, I'd refund their money.
Now it seems he has hoodwinked an entire small community just north of me,, about a 40 minute drive in fact.
They are putting on a 3 day festival this weekend.
He plans on being there.
If at all possible, I think I'll attend and ask a few pointed questions,,,, in a group setting,,,,, as well as reissue my challenge,,,, in a group setting.
Anyone have a question they would like relayed?
Regards.

"Another Sasquatch search is afoot"

QUOTE

November 3, 2009
Another Sasquatch search is afoot

As one search for Bigfoot wound up with a suspicious footprint but no sightings in West Virginia's Dolly Sods area, another is set to begin in the vicinity of Kanawha State Forest.

During the last week of October, six members of the Virginia Sasquatch Watch organization spent several cold and wet days looking for the legendary primate atop Dolly Sods.

Other than close encounters with inclement weather, "it all went good," said search leader Billy Willard. While no sightings took place, "we did find a 17-inch footprint, but it was in material that wasn't good for taking a cast in," Willard said. The large print was photographed, and a number of other prints analyzed, but turned out to have been produced by bears. A coyote was determined to have produced a suspicious scat sample found in the search.

Willard said a reported Bigfoot sighting at Red Creek Campground at Dolly Sods prompted the search in the remote highland wilderness at the northern end of the Monongahela National Forest.

Meanwhile, fulltime Bigfoot researcher and filmmaker Tom Biscardi plans to join Charleston area musician Kris Allen starting Friday night to hunt for the ape-like creature within bellowing distance of the state Capitol.

Allen said Biscardi will conduct a pair of middle-of-the-night searches in the Kanawha State Forest area using high-tech imaging gear to capture any sightings. The Kanawha County stop is part of a cross-country Bigfoot quest being done to gather footage for a documentary titled "Searching for Bigfoot" that Biscardi is compiling.

Allen, a Texas native who grew up in the Chelyan area before moving to Nashville to pursue a career in country music, maintains that he has had several encounters with Bigfoot in West Virginia.

The frontman for Kris Allen & Southern Thunder said his first encounter with the legendary creature took place when he was 8 or 9 years old and living in Chelyan.

QUOTE

November 3, 2009
Another Sasquatch search is afoot

"The entire family saw what looked like a large monkey up in a tree out in the yard," he said. "It wasn't until later that I realized it was Bigfoot."

As an adult while hiking through Dunlop Hollow in Kanawha State Forest, Allen said he encountered a second Bigfoot -- this one leaning against a tree and staring at him.

Allen said he had another Bigfoot encounter in 1993, while camping at Lake Sherwood in Greenbrier County.

"I heard a loud beating-on-wood sound just outside the tent, and a similar sound coming from across the lake," he said. "My dogs got so scared they jumped in the toolbox in the back of my truck and wouldn't come out."

Allen, who now lives in the Kanawha Valley, said he has been on Biscardi's Internet radio show, "Bigfoot Live," six times, and will take part in Biscardi's Charleston area search. He said a 3-D movie is being made of Biscardi's coast-to-coast Bigfoot search.

"I'm probably the only recording artist that's associated with Bigfoot," he said. "But I know there are a lot of people out there who believe that Bigfoot exists but are scared to admit it because people will laugh at them.

"People laughed at folks who talked about seeing a giant black and white bear hiding out in the mountains of China eating bamboo, but years later, the panda was 'discovered.'"

Reach Rick Steelhammer at rsteelham...@wvgazette.com or 304-348-5169.

Where are the remains?

I ran across this question,, again,, on a blog.
I know it's been asked to death and answered to death but I thought I'd reply to it and also posted my thoughts verbatim on another forum I post at.

What happens to the remains when they die?
Do they burst into flames?
Does a spaceship pick them up and carry them off?
Do their kin bury them or cannibalize them?
Why hasn't anyone found their remains?
Why aren't they roadkill?

I've actually seen those questions and been asked some of them.
I not unlike many others have wondered that very thing and gave it some thought and here is some of those thoughts put into print.

QUOTE

What happens to the remains when they die?

Uhmm. The same thing that happens to any other flesh and blood animal to include man?

QUOTE

Do they burst into flames?

Give me a break ok?

QUOTE

Does a spaceship pick them up and carry them off?

See above

QUOTE

Do their kin bury them or cannibalize them?

Actually this may not be far off the mark.
My reasoning is that while we resided in the Hope/Washington Arkansas area, we had a very nearly nightly occurrence and several sitings with outside witnesses from Texas.
A small video clip of one siting can be seen on youtube that was shot by one of the witnesses.
It's mostly black since it's at night but it does have audio of the critter if anyone is interested.
Anyway, during our own explorations of the area we came upon a place it would pass through.
We looked there several times and simply found sign something large had passed through.
We had gone back maybe two days after a previous look-see and found a horrendous stink.
It was a dog that was in advanced decomp.
No real way to tell what got it into that state and it was well hidden in brush.
We watched it and could tell it was being visited, but not consumed.
It was also maggot ridden and when it was down to bones, it came up missing
A week or so later, it was replaced.
Maggots are a very high source of protein.
Who's to say this particular animal wasn't intelligent enough to recognize this and used the decomposing body of a dog as a high protein food source?
Who's to say they won't use their own kin for the same purpose?
Who's to say they won't consume the bones for the calcium?

QUOTE

Why hasn't anyone found their remains?

See above and who is to say we haven't?
The places who do categorize bones do have drawers labeled unknown as well as drawers that are only opened for deposits as the drawer hasn't been gotten to yet.
How many of us have been in the woods, seen an occasional bone and really haven't a clue as to where it went in a body or what body contained it.
How many of us laymen are even qualified to make that call?
I think the skeptics and those asking the questions are being a bit unreasonable in their expectations.
That being the case, how many mountain lion remains are found in the wild?
Do they go up in flames when they die or does nature find a way to take care of the problem?
Then again, are mountain lions a myth also?

QUOTE

Why aren't they roadkill?

Who said they don't on occasion end up that way?
I've seen reports and claims where a driver has smacked one.
I've also personally met an individual who made that claim, was a previous non-believer and had the Toyota pick up with the caved in hood, grill and fender to back it up.
Sorry, no hair or really anything else to retrieve from anywhere.
It's a huge animal and unless it's struck straight on with a Mack, it's entirely possible it crawled off and possibly died other than alongside the road.
Deer as well as dogs do, why not a 6-7 foot tall 300 pound plus animal?

Anyone else have any thoughts?
Regards.

edited as an after thought:
Not to sound cruel or morbid, but has anyone ever tried to kill a cat that needed killing or was a complete nuisance with the garbage can?
They are an exceptionally hard animal to perish, so if a cat can be hard to perish, why not an animal several times it's size?

Bigfoot Encounter in TN?

Hi, my name is Jason. I live in Columbia, Tennessee. This past January (2009), me and two friends were involved in something strange. I participate in Geocaching. Geocaching is a scavenger hunt where you use GPS along with geocaching.com to log your finds. Anyway, we like to go at night to find them and look for locations to hide them. We were out one night in later January. This was one of the colder nights of the winter. It was in the low twenties. Me and my two friends parked in the public parking at the head of a state owned hiking trail. We where the only vehicle there. This is an extremely secluded area! I have a TN handgun permit so I always take protection. I am very familiar with this trail and it is only about 4 miles from my home. This was approx. 10:00 PM. We walked all the way to the way to the end of the trail which stretches most of the way dangerously close to a steep bluff overlooking the Duck River. We reached the end where there are three caves. We frequent them often to just relax and get away. We were in one of the small caves, which mouth is 70-100 feet above the river. We decided to build a small fire in the cave. Once the fire was going, me and one friend went to the mouth of the cave to chat and get some fresh air. While outside the cave I figuered I would chop a few sticks with my hatchet for the fire inside. I jokingly said to my buddy "how bout this one?" as I tapped a couple times on a big-big tree with my small hatchet. We chuckled and started to head back into the cave and just then, we heard a large rock hit the river water below us. We both froze and looked at each other. What was that? I don't know. Several more times we heard large rocks, NOT little stones continue to hit the water. It seemed as if they where in a timed pattern. About eight to ten rocks hit the water in about ten second intervals. My other buddy in the cave came out looking for us as we stood outside wondering what was among us. After we told him what we had just heard, we voted to leave the cave and head back down the trail to the car. This was around 11:00-11:30PM. As we headed back down the trail, my hand on my gun, we heard a LOUD "scream" just maybe after 75 yards of walking. It reminded me of a bobcat as most people know, can sound like a woman in distress. Just plain erie sounding. We stopped in our tracks for a moment then continued down the trail. When we reached my car I decided to circle the entire area of this secluded wilderness just to try to explain what had happened to us. We saw no vehicles, people, anything. So now we were intrigued and excited. After some research on the internet, we found out that BF creatures often comunicate by hitting trees with sticks and throw rocks. Did I replicate that when I hit that tree with my hatchet? Also I have found that many people have reported the same sound we heard after similar occurences. One of my friends, after telling this story to a co-worker found that that co-worker had actually had a similar experience a year or two earlier in the same area. I want to go back. I am curious. Just wondering if anyone can tell me if this is consistant with bigfoot behavior. I was skeptical till I had this experience. But now I will never forget it. If anyone in my area would like to further investigate, I would love to go. If you want to learn about the area I am talking about, just google: cheeks bend caves columbia tennessee. Please respond. Thanks for reading. Jason
